Sustainable Building Research Centre

Brief:
The Sustainable Building Research Centre was designed by Cox Architecture, one of Australia’s leading design firms, for Wollongong University. The challenge was to convey the idea of a building that was both a centre of experimentation in sustainable science and a huge sustainable experiment in itself.

Solution:
The constant camera movement reflects scientists’ endless curiosity, pushing and probing from all angles, illustrating the lack of uniform building features and in particular highlighting the project’s use of bricolage or found materials and objects.

Result:
This is one of Cox Architecture growing portfolio of project micro-docs which enable present and future clients to see how a building lives and functions.
