A robot walks into a bar

Brief:
Robotics and digital fabrication provide endless creative possibilities for architects and designers. Michael Power visited the Design Modelling and Fabrication Lab in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Sydney for a faculty party with a difference.

Solution:
The bartender robot demonstrates the interaction between humans and machines. Hours of programming was required to get the angle and the duration of the pour correct.

Result:
Vision of how artificial intelligence is being applied in architecture and design … and mixing drinks.
