Indonesian finance for women’s start-ups

Brief:
The World Bank Group IFC’s wanted a visual report for country donors on its hugely successful program of micro-finance for women in Indonesia.

Solution:
Afterglow visited Jakarta to capture among other things the sights, sounds and smells of Remi Rusmati’s tofu-making business which she built up to employ 10 staff in providing local families, shops and restaurants with her turmeric-flavoured tofu.

Result:
In case anyone from the donor countries that help fund the micro-loans doesn’t get how crucial women’s access to finance is, this short 3 minute piece will set them straight.
