Brief:
Leading Australian artist Fiona Hall was commissioned to create an interpretive artwork for the Anzac Memorial’s new extension designed by Richard Johnson of Johnson Pilton Walker.
Solution:
Afterglow documented the three year process from the first presentation to the final installation in 2018, capturing along the way the creation of the delicate crystal urns in Adelaide and the bronzing work that took place in Melbourne.
Result:
The resulting short documentary neatly illustrates how an unusual and complex art installation can develop as an emotional, intellectual and collaborative process and is screened for Anzac Memorial visitors and educational groups.
