Brief:
With limited skills and materials Australia’s early settlers by necessity built simple, energy efficient homes. In the Built for the Bush exhibition, the Historic Houses Trust (now Sydney Living Museums) demonstrates how contemporary architects are employing some of the low-energy solutions of 19th century rural architecture.
Solution:
Afterglow worked closely with the curator on the exhibition video showcasing some modern environmentally sustainable rural dwellings, and capturing the thoughts and ideas of the architects behind them.
Result:
The Built for the Bush toured regional NSW venues for four years and now has a permanent hoe in the visitors’ centre at Rouse Hill House.
